If you aren’t already aware, Bertelsmann and Udacity are partnering to offer the Next Generation Tech Booster Scholarship to award learners with tech scholarships to help them learn valuable skills to open new career opportunities in the lucrative fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or project management. I applied for it! Read why.
The applications for this scholarship closed on November 30th. From there, the chosen recipients were to be notified today, October 11th.
I’ve got good news to share!
I’m thrilled to share a major milestone in my coding journey – This afternoon, I received an email stating that I’m one of the 17,000 applicants selected for Phase 1 of the Udacity Next Generation Tech Booster Scholarship sponsored by Bertelsmann for the AI Programming with Python Nanodegree program!
This two-month, self-guided “Challenge” phase will provide me exposure to AI Programming with Python Fundamentals to build foundational skills within the track to prepare for the technical assessment on which I’ll be tested in order to qualify for advancement to Phase 2, which is the actual Nanodegree learning track.
The excitement and anxiety are real, and I am eager to see how this experience will supercharge my career if I make it to the next phase! This phase of my learning journey is set to begin on Thursday, October 14th, with the live program kick-off session taking place this Friday, October 15th. It will continue through Wednesday, February 15th, 2024, which is the last date for me to tackle the Filtration Assessment. Following the assessment, the 500 top-performing students from their respective challenge courses will be selected to receive a Nanodegree program scholarship.
Gotta put my learning hat on so I can be one of the 500 selected—Wish me luck!
Want to follow along with my learning journey?
As I complete the program, I will post updates to my portfolio website, which will also be on my social media profiles and email list.
