About My Role:
As a Camp Counselor at Coach Mac Summer Day Camp, I was responsible for the supervision and care of a group of elementary-aged children throughout the summer camp season. My role included ensuring their safety and well-being during daily activities, facilitating their participation in various camp programs, and assisting in their personal development. I also collaborated with other camp staff to provide a fun, supportive, and educational environment while helping children overcome behavioral and study challenges. In addition, I managed logistical tasks such as attendance, schedules, and the dismissal process, while performing some secretarial duties to help maintain smooth camp operations.
Duties:
- Supervised and maintained a group of elementary-aged children during daily camp activities.
- Facilitated smooth transitions for children to and from all scheduled activities.
- Worked with students to address and improve behavioral and study challenges.
- Managed the dismissal process to ensure safe and timely departures.
- Organized daily attendance and ensured schedules were followed.
